I used to think Mineola was a town on Long Island where "The Drake" (of Seinfeld Fame) lived. What with Gagliano's Italian and all.
But now, I've found that a minneola, pronounced the same (I can only assume) is a wonderful tart fruit which is a cross between a Duncan grapefruit and a Dancy tangerine. And in the spirit of this blog, there will be minneolas.
